Welcome from our Headteacher
I am delighted to give you a virtual welcome to The Gerrards Cross Church of England School. I hope our website encourages you to come visit us to see for yourselves just how wonderful we are!
I am proud to have led this school for over 15 years. My team and I aim to provide an exceptional, challenging and inspiring education to children from the ages of four until eleven years old.
Our vision is to see 'Every Child Flourishing'; this is inspired by Jesus' words in John's gospel where he says, 'I have come that they might have life and life it to the full.' We seek to equip our children with a love of learning and the associated skills to flourish in the modern world. We look to promote confident, curious, imaginative, resilient and organised learning in all our children. At the same time we nurture their personal and emotional development and a strong relationship between home and school is always maintained.
We continuously strive to ensure our pupils receive the highest possible standard of education. Our broad curriculum is carefully planned, progressive, relevant and engaging, and supported by a wealth of co-curriculum enrichment activities including school visits. Children are encouraged to identify their interests, talents and abilities and we seek to encourage and enable them them to maximise their true potential.
At our core, the school is founded on a firm Christian foundation. Our vision and values are embedded into all aspects of our school life and guide thinking, behaviour and decisions at all levels. The values of ‘love’ and ‘community’ underpin all relationships in the school and together, the six values form a code of behaviour understood and respected by all. We ensure that each and every member of our school knows they are respected and valued.
I do hope you enjoy finding out about our fantastic school, and that you choose us to start your child on their path of learning, discovery and flourishing.
